H+U Construction’s work on Adams Spanish Immersion School included the complete renovation of an existing 66,000/SF elementary school, a 31,000/SF addition, and significant site improvements, all while the school remained fully-occupied throughout the school year. H+U’s team developed detailed construction phasing plans to keep life safety systems operational throughout the school year. We sequenced work so that additions were completed in a first phase, with renovations in subsequent phases to free up areas of the existing building for renovation. H+U developed a disruption avoidance plan to minimize the impact of construction on staff and students.
