Minnesota-based Bossardt Corporation was originally established in 1983 as a professional Construction Management firm specializing in Agency Construction Management services for public sector projects. Founder John Bossardt set forth to present clients with an alternative to general contracting, and to this day, we take pride in the fact that we pioneered the development of Construction Management as Agent and Owner’s Representative services in the state of Minnesota – paving the way for H+U Construction to continue to serve as a reputable leader in Minnesota’s building community.

Some of the most recognizable Bossardt projects include the historic Paisley Park in Chanhassen, MN (the legendary musician Prince’s private estate and production complex), award winning recreational and public safety facilities, as well as an impressive portfolio of hundreds of schools throughout the Twin Cities metro area.

Bossardt Corporation joined forces with Wenck Associates, Inc. (WAI), a leading Engineering & Consulting firm, on April 1, 2013 to expand the services provided to public and private sector clients. Wenck was founded in Minnesota by Norm Wenck with a mission of making a significant and positive difference for its clients, employees, and society. Three decades later, Wenck increased its services, employees and locations, however always remaining true to its roots of being an outcome-based organization that evolves with clients’ ever-changing needs.

In 2015, Bossardt Corporation began providing Construction Management services as Wenck Construction, Inc., merging offices with the engineering and environmental division of the Wenck family to increase efficiency and strengthen the service offerings to include: Construction Management as Agent, Owner’s Representative, Construction Management at Risk, General Contracting, and Design-Build Contracting. Uniting construction professionals, engineers, and scientists under one roof offered a melting pot of technical excellence, innovation, and integrated project delivery methods for new and existing clients. The “beyond the building” approach set us apart from the average construction firm in the marketplace by providing turn-key design and construction solutions.

March 2019 brought about an exciting new era for the company when existing management – two industry veterans and long-standing Bossardt/Wenck employees, Andy Hoffmann and Joe Uhlhorn – acquired the Construction Management division of Wenck Enterprises, officially launching as Hoffmann+Uhlhorn Construction, Inc. (H+U Construction). This transition provides the opportunity for both organizations to focus entirely on their core service offerings. A new company in some sorts, building on a rich history and tradition of success developed over more than 36 years.

H+U Construction continues to provide our clients with the full spectrum of professional Construction Management services that we pride ourselves on, and will continue to serve new and existing clients and partners with the same personnel and commitment to service that has established our firm as a leader in the construction industry.
