As the world continues to face the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, H+U Construction remains committed to the health + safety of our staff, partners, and communities we serve. Below are some of the protocols we are implementing to remain safe, productive, and operational while still doing our part to flatten the curve and slow the spread of this disease:
- H+U is following guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Governor of the State of Minnesota, Tim Walz, where H+U’s corporate office is located.
- As a “Critical Sector” business, H+U intends to remain active on our construction sites, provided we have the workforce and ability to remain compliant with the relevant jurisdictions. We will communicate any challenges that may arise accordingly.
- Work from Home policy is being implemented for employees not essential to site-specific functions, with heightened cleaning and social distancing in place for on-site employees. Our staff will remain accessible via email and their phones.
- Conference calls and virtual meetings are highly encouraged for any meetings that may be needed for essential function / coordination of the jobsite.
- Increased health + safety protocols including jobsite signage, social distancing, cleaning, hand washing stations, and hand sanitizer on our jobsites and office.
- Routine health monitoring and communication to all on-site workers of COVID-19 symptoms, and infection prevention practices.
- H+U has prohibited our team and subcontractors to enter jobsites for at least 14 days following any international travel and requested staff to cancel all non-essential work travel until the stay-at-home executive order expires.
- Proactive communication regarding any impacts we are seeing and suggested actions to keep our work on track. We are currently tracking material supply and workforce impacts and addressing them accordingly.
H+U plays an important role in building our communities, and in providing jobs to our team and our subcontractor partners. However, our ongoing commitment to health + safety remains our top priority. We will continue to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting sensitive populations. We are committed to addressing the impact this will have on our marketplace and being a communicative, engaged support system to our clients and partners.
