The Buffalo Area Community Center project transformed a former office building into a vibrant, inclusive community destination designed to serve residents of all ages and abilities. The redevelopment reimagined the existing facility as a flexible gathering space featuring community rooms, meeting spaces, activity areas, improved accessibility, and enhanced programming opportunities. Site improvements included a new parking lot, youth play area, building entrance enhancements, and circulation improvements, creating a welcoming environment focused on community connection, recreation, education, and lifelong engagement.

H+U Construction served as Construction Manager at Risk for the project, partnering closely with the City of Buffalo and Bolton & Menk throughout planning, preconstruction, and construction. Working collaboratively with the project team, H+U provided budget management, scheduling, constructability review, and construction coordination to help transform the existing facility into a more accessible, adaptable, and sustainable community asset. The completed Buffalo Area Community Center provides expanded opportunities for community programming and serves as a welcoming space that will benefit Buffalo residents for years to come.
