H+U served as the Construction Manager for the City of Eagan’s Art House. The City of Eagan Art House project created a new, modern 10,000 square-foot arts facility to replace the aging original building that had served the community since 1997. The completed building provided expanded classroom space, two pottery studios, a dedicated raku area, flexible program rooms, and improved accessibility to support the nearly 6,000 annual community users. The new art house was designed to integrate into Patrick Eagan Park and emphasized a welcoming, inclusive environment for artists of all ages and abilities.

Sustainability goals shaped the project, resulting in the City of Eagan’s first fossil fuel free building. The facility incorporated a geothermal heating and cooling system, roof mounted solar panels, enhanced air filtration, and daylighting strategies to reduce energy demand. H+U Construction managed the work through multiple bid packages and coordinated the project while allowing community art programs to continue at the previous facility until the new building opened. The new Eagan Art House was completed and opened to the public in 2025, becoming a long-term creative asset for Eagan residents.
