H+U NEWS!
H+U was the Construction Manager for the transformative park development project overlooking St. Anthony Falls and the Stone Arch Bridge.
H+U Construction and CNH Architects served as the Design-Builder for the new construction of a YMCA Early Childhood Learning Center on the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Campus.
H+U served as the CM for the new Eagan Fire Safety Center which includes five (5) double deep drive-through bays for fire trucks and emergency vehicles, administrative offices, dormitories for firefighters, and a police evidence storage area. The full training room adapts to become a shared Emergency Operations Center for fire personnel, administration, and police personnel.
The Valleywood Clubhouse is the first new building in the State of Minnesota to receive three (3) Green Globes® awards, the equivalent to a LEED Gold certification. The building features a banquette hall, kitchen, office space, underground storage, and pro-shop. This was the fourth project our team has completed for the City of Apple Valley, with other projects including the Apple Valley Aquatic Center, Apple Valley Law Enforcement Center, and Hayes Community and Senior Center.
From the onset of planning, one of Park Midway Bank’s goals was to be a LEED certified building. Following construction, the St. Paul community bank became the fifth building in the state of Minnesota to become LEED Certified. Especially in the early days of LEED Certified projects, the sustainable and efficient materials that went into a LEED certified building were often significantly more expensive than more common materials and systems.
H+U served as the Construction Manager for the Roseville Fire Station providing preconstruction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering. We worked through the bidding phase to keep the project on budget and managed all aspects of construction to ensure that the facility was built to the highest quality standards and at the most cost-effective price.
